Watch: Girl Group Vocalist Survival Show “V-1” Previews Intense Competition In New Teaser
Upcoming girl group vocalist survival competition “V-1” has released a new teaser.
The teaser starts with the question, “What does the stage mean to girl groups?” while revealing that the average girl group member gets approximately 5.9 seconds of screen time when performing. In voiceovers, the contestants share comments such as, “There haven’t been opportunities to perform,” “This is an opportunity I’ve dreamt of as a singer,” “I want to hold onto this chance I have to showcase my voice,” “My goal is always first place,” and “I promise to be first place.”
The girls are briefly shown belting out high notes on stage, and the audience quickly place their votes to determine the winner. The clip finishes with WJSN’s Yoo Yeonjung sharing, “I want to sing it one more time” and DIA’s Jueun tearfully saying, “I have to sing for the rest of my life. The only thing I can do is sing.”
The 12 contestants of “V-1” include APRIL’s Jinsol, Weki Meki’s Choi Yoojung and Sooyeon, WJSN’s Yoo Yeonjung, gugudan’s Nayoung, SONAMOO’s High.D, GWSN’s Seoryoung, Cherry Bullet’s Bora and Haeyoon, DreamCatcher’s Siyeon, DIA’s Jueun, and Venus’s Jeong Da Kyung.
“V-1” will air on September 13 at 6 p.m. KST as a Chuseok holiday special.
