Red Velvet’s Joy transformed Kang Ho Dong into an idol on “Ask Us Anything”!

On the September 7 episode of the JTBC variety show, Joy appeared as a guest together with models Jang Yoon Joo and Irene Kim, her co-hosts for OnStyle’s “Get It Beauty.” The three hosts showed off their beauty tricks and tips by giving Seo Jang Hoon, Lee Soo Geun, and Kang Ho Dong a makeover.

Joy confidently stated, “I’ll turn Kang Ho Dong into an idol,” and she transformed the comedian’s entire look, including his makeup and outfit.

Introducing his new idol persona, Kang Ho Dong joked, “[I’m] EXO-Large’s Kay.” Joy asked the others, “Doesn’t he totally look like an idol? I made him [over] in MONSTA X’s recent style.” Super Junior’s Kim Heechul joked, “Isn’t he just a monster?” and Jang Yoon Joo commented, “His makeup and hair are so pretty.”

Joy explained, “Shiny things look pretty under the stage lights, so I put pearl eyeshadow on his lids. Idols also often draw beauty marks these days, so I created a beauty mark under his eye.”

She continued, “Idols’ hair gets damaged a lot due to dyeing, but there’s good color wax available now, so you can change your hair color in five minutes.”
