Watch: Fin.K.L Shares Behind-The-Scenes Look At Preparations For Their Reunion Concert
The September 8 episode of JTBC’s “Camping Club” showed the Fin.K.L members preparing for their reunion concert and rehearsing their music and choreography.
During the episode, Lee Hyori asked the others what they thought about the concert and said, “I’ll do it if you all want to. But I think it would be best for everyone if we didn’t do it too quickly.”
Sung Yuri and Lee Jin expressed concern about whether they’d be able to perfect everything soon and Lee Hyori said, “So doing by the end of this year would be too hard, right?” The members were also worried about the fact that the group had no MR (music recorded) files that would be necessary for a concert.
Lee Jin said, “I think that there are a lot of people who are looking forward to it at this point in time. I think we should definitely do something.”
Ock Joo Hyun said, “Let’s do it when we do a second season [of ‘Camping Club’].” The other Fin.K.L members agreed that it would be fun to not only perform for fans but also go camping with them.
When it came to rehearsing choreography, Lee Jin and Sung Yuri expressed nervousness and excitement at dancing for the first time in 14 years. The Fin.K.L members met up at a practice room and greeted their backup dancers. Lee Jin proceeded to surprise everyone by showing that she could dance better than they’d thought, but she said at the end, “I only danced one song but I’m already breathless.”
The four members also went to a recording studio and Lee Hyori apologized to the producer there, saying, “We’re old singers, so we don’t have any MR.” Lee Jin was nervous at being in a recording studio for the first time in a while, but Ock Joo Hyun directed her carefully.
When it came to Lee Hyori’s turn in the studio, she had trouble with the high notes and Lee Jin said, “The state of her throat today isn’t good. She’s been having trouble speaking since earlier today.” Lee Hyori added, “I don’t feel good about this. Everyone else is just as good as they used to be, but I’m the only one that’s gotten worse. I feel like I’m dragging everyone down.”
Lee Jin and Sung Yuri made her laugh by joking, “Now you know how we felt,” though Lee Hyori continued to blame herself for not taking care of her vocal muscles properly.
At the end of the episode, the Fin.K.L members directly contacted the fans who had applied to see them and enjoyed their time with them by giving them spontaneous quizzes and singing old Fin.K.L songs.
