FTISLAND's Lee Hong Ki, B1A4's Baro, And Chae Seo Jin To Make Cameo Appearances In "Melting Me Softly"

FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki, B1A4’s Baro, and Chae Seo Jin will be appearing in tvN’s upcoming drama “Melting Me Softly”!

tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama will tell the story of a man and a woman who participate in a science project of freezing humans for 24 hours, but due to mysterious circumstances, they wake up 20 years later.

Lee Hong Ki will play Son Hyun Ki, an assistant director and junior to accomplished producing director (PD) Ma Dong Chan (Ji Chang Wook). Son Hyun Ki is a huge fan of Ma Dong Chan and became a producing director because of Ma Dong Chan’s hit variety shows. He is willing to do anything for the senior director. After 20 years, however, the once bright and cheerful assistant director transforms into a stubborn director of an entertainment agency. Im Won Hee will be taking on the role of the current Son Hyun Ki. In the released still, Lee Hong Ki rocks a typical 90s haircut and outfit.

Baro, who is currently serving in the military, will take on the role of Hwang Byung Shim, Go Mi Ran’s (Won Jin Ah) boyfriend from 1999. By 2019, Hwang Byung Shim becomes a psychology professor. Shim Hyung Tak will play the current Hwang Byung Shim and confuse Go Mi Ran with his unique way of thinking.

Cha Seo Jin will play Na Ha Young, an announcer who loves and constantly worries about her boyfriend Ma Dong Chan. After 20 years, the innocent and lovely woman becomes the bureau chief of a broadcasting company whose heart has frozen and left her cold after the disappearance of her partner. Yoon Se Ah will be taking on the role of the current Na Ha Young.

The production staff stated, “Thanks to the three actors Lee Hong Ki, [Baro], and Chae Seo Jin who readily agreed to appear on the drama and passionately took part in the filming, it seems as though the drama has become more complete, so I’m very grateful. Viewers will be able to enjoy the show while comparing the characters from both 20 years into the past and 20 years into the future, which is a key point of ‘Melting Me Softly.'”

“Melting Me Softly” premieres on September 28 at 9 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki with English subtitles.
