Former Brave Girls Member Seoa Denies Rumors Of Filming Adult Content
Former Brave Girls member Seoa has spoken out against rumors that she filmed adult content.
On September 16, the former Brave Girls member — who now works as a broadcast jockey — saw her name experience a sudden rise in portal site search terms as she was swept up in a controversy that linked her to beotbang (broadcasts that involve taking off clothes) and mohmcam (videos that film the body).
In a YouTube video from last month titled, “I Am Not From XX,” she addressed the rumors. She said, “I started broadcasting on Afreeca TV on January 8 of this year. Before that, I had never done a broadcast on any domestic platform. I was born with the name Park Seo Ah, and under that name, I decided I would live without acting shamefully.”
She continued, “Recently, there’s been some upsetting events happening to me. A lot of people are misunderstanding me, but I’ve never done a beotbang or mohmcam. There are also lots of people saying that I tried to change my name. I don’t want to be misunderstood any longer. I saw that the matter only grew larger when I stayed quiet, and there were a lot of fans who were worried about me.”
Seoa further showed a mole on her left arm and stated tearfully, “I’ve had this mole since I was in elementary school, and I don’t cover it with concealer. I didn’t change my name. I’m so upset. [The person in the alleged videos] isn’t me. I’ve never done such a thing.”
Seoa debuted as a member of Brave Girls in 2011. She left the group in 2016, and in January of this year, she opened a YouTube channel called “Park Seoa TV” and started live broadcasting on Afreeca TV.
