JTBC’s new drama “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency” is off to a promising start!

“Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency” is a new rom-com historical drama about a king who seeks out Joseon’s top matchmaking agency Flower Crew because he is unable to forget his first love. Upon his request, the three handsome matchmakers at the agency (played by Kim Min Jae, Park Ji Hoon, and Byun Woo Seok) risk their own lives to transform the low-born commoner Gae Ddong (played by Gong Seung Yeon) into a refined noblewoman.

According to Nielsen Korea, the September 16 premiere of the romantic comedy scored an average viewership rating of 4.3 percent nationwide, beating the finale ratings of its predecessor “Moments of 18,” the drama that previously occupied its time slot. “Moments of 18” ended on an average nationwide rating of 3.9 percent—which also marked the highest viewership it achieved throughout its run.

MBC’s “Welcome 2 Life” scored average viewership ratings of 3.9 percent and 4.7 percent for the night, while KBS 2TV’s “I Wanna Hear Your Song” trailed with average ratings of 2.7 percent and 3.2 percent.
