MONSTA X Reunites With Steve Aoki + Shows Off Personalized Gifts He Prepared For Them

MONSTA X shared a heartwarming reunion with Steve Aoki!

On September 20, MONSTA X became the first K-pop group to perform at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas, where they reunited with collaborator Steve Aoki both on stage and behind the scenes. Earlier this year, the famous American musician produced MONSTA X’s track “Play It Cool” after mentioning in a 2018 interview that he hoped to collaborate with the group.

Steve Aoki later took to Instagram Stories to post several video clips of himself meeting up with the MONSTA X members backstage. In the videos, Steve Aoki happily greets the idols before presenting them with personalized T-shirts hand-decorated for each of the members. Each of the shirts appeared to bear one of the member’s names, MONSTA X’s logo, and various drawings, along with the words “MONSTA X,” “Play It Cool,” and “Steve Aoki.”

MONSTA X’s Kihyun proudly showed off his own T-shirt—which bears an adorable drawing of a hamster—on the group’s official Twitter account, announcing, “Aoki hyung gave me a gift.” He also held up a signed copy of Steve Aoki’s memoir.

Later on, MONSTA X also shared several photos from their iHeart Radio Music Festival performance with Steve Aoki, writing, “Had the best time performing with our friend Steve Aoki.” The music producer enthusiastically responded on Twitter, “My brothers!!!!!!”

MONSTA X recently released a brand-new English-language track “Love U,” as well as a special remix of “Who Do U Love?” by will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas.
