BTOB’s Ilhoon To Step Down As DJ Of “Idol Radio”

BTOB’s Ilhoon will be stepping down as the DJ of MBC FM’s “Idol Radio.”

“Idol Radio” officially began in September 2018 and is a radio program dedicated towards idol-related content. On September 24, Cube Entertainment announced, “Ilhoon has decided to step down from ‘Idol Radio’ with this month as the last.”

Ilhoon personally revealed the news on the September 23 broadcast. Ilhoon stated, “I have something that I need to share. It’s burdensome to deliver such news through broadcast, but there’s news I have to deliver to everyone. After much consideration, I’ve decided to host ‘Idol Radio’ only until the end of this month. I also don’t feel great because I think I delivered the news too late. I’m very sincerely sorry to the listeners who have loved me and had to suddenly come across this news.”

He continued, “I think this will be a resting period for me. However, I’ve made really great memories through ‘Idol Radio.’ I think the listeners know if they’ve listened [to the radio] until now. I will continue to forever love ‘Idol Radio,’ which has given me beautiful and novel memories. I hope that everyone isn’t hurt by this. I will now work to impress as Jung Ilhoon rather than as a DJ. Please think of this as a temporary goodbye, and when I release an album, I’ll come out as a guest and bring laughter.”
