SEVENTEEN has grabbed the top spot on the latest weekly album chart on Oricon!

After taking No. 2 last week, SEVENTEEN’s new Korean album “An Ode” has now risen to No. 1 on the weekly album chart dated October 14.

SEVENTEEN’s new Korean album has entered at No. 2 on Oricon’s weekly album chart!

The group released their third full album “An Ode” on September 16, featuring the title track “Fear.”

On Japan’s largest music statistics site Oricon, “An Ode” has taken No. 2 on the weekly album chart, weekly combined album chart, and weekly digital album chart. It also grabs No. 1 on the weekly overseas album chart.

The album has also been a hit in Korea and around the world, with the success of “An Ode” making SEVENTEEN only the third Korean artist to record over 700,000 first week sales on the Hanteo chart.

SEVENTEEN made their official debut in Japan in May 2018 and took No. 1 on Oricon’s year-end Indies Album chart (for albums that were not distributed by a major label in Japan). They went on to release their first Japanese single “Happy Ending” in June of this year and recorded over 250,000 sales in the first week. Their new album “An Ode” includes a Korean version of “Happy Ending.”
