Watch: "Queendom" Contestants Prepare For Vocal + Dance Unit Performances In New Preview

Contestants are gearing up for a new kind of competition on “Queendom”!

On September 30, Mnet’s comeback competition program released a teaser for its upcoming episode.

“Queendom” is shaking things up for its third round where members from other teams are collaborating with one another. Each girl group chose a vocal member and a dance member to represent their team. The six members chosen for the vocal unit battle then formed three pairs to perform duets. For the dance battle, all six members formed one group for the dance performance, but they will be scored individually.

In the teaser, the vocal units begin practicing. MAMAMOO’s Hwasa and Lovelyz’s Kei harmonize, and Park Bom praises her duet partner Hyojung.

AOA’s Hyejeong and (G)I-DLE’s Minnie, however, have difficulty choosing a song and seeks help from Don Spike. The composer gives them helpful advice before jokingly stating his rate of 80,000 won (approximately $67) for eight lines, and Hyejeong asks Minnie if she has any money.

Choreographer Lia Kim pays a visit to the performance unit and shows them some useful moves. The contestants gather for the vocal unit’s interim check and react with awe.
