NU'EST's Ren Reveals Why He Began Believing In Fortune Tellers

NU’EST’s Ren shared a story of an accurate prediction that made him start believing in fortune tellers on JTBC’s “The Fool’s Chart” (literal title)!

Ren currently co-hosts “The Fool’s Chart,” a show that releases weekly charts that are only compiled from the perspective of people who are pushover-types, with model Han Hye Jin, Shinhwa’s Jun Jin, Jang Sung Kyu, and Jung Hyuk.

On the September 30 episode, the panel discussed the topic of fortune telling after being shown survey results in which 70.8 percent of respondents said they got their fortunes read once every year.

Ren shared his interest in fortune telling and revealed why he began believing in it. He said, “When NU’EST first debuted and wasn’t doing as well as we hoped, we went and asked a fortune teller why. The fortune teller said, ‘The next five years will be difficult, but after that, you will shine.’ The length of time was exactly right, so it remains in my memory.”

NU’EST debuted in 2012 with “FACE.” After five years of promotions with modest success, four of the members, including Ren, appeared as contestants on “Produce 101 Season 2” and received much love and attention.
