Watch: Yoon Shi Yoon, Jung In Sun, And Park Sung Hoon’s Upcoming Drama Introduces Characters At 1st Script Reading
“Psychopath Diary” is about a man named Yook Dong Shik, who coincidentally witnesses a murder and loses his memory after an accident that occurs while he is fleeing the scene. He wakes up with no sense of self-identity and mistakes himself as the psychopathic killer when he finds the murderer’s diary in his hands.
Yoon Shi Yoon has taken on the role of Yook Dong Shik. The actor began, “I took on a role of the pushover of pushovers who thinks he is a psychopath.” He explained that his character works at a securities investment firm and is at the bottom of the social ladder. However, after going through an unusual experience that leads him to mistake himself as a psychopath, he is no longer afraid to say things on his mind and starts to speak for himself. Yoon Shi Yoon continued, “This is the most fun to play out of the roles I’ve played recently, but the character is also very silly. I chose it because I believed I could do something fun with it.”
Jung In Sun took on the role of Shim Bo Kyung, a patrol officer who lives solely in the present. She explains that her character becomes unintentionally involved in a mysterious case and begins the solve the case in partnership with Yoon Dong Shik. The actress added that it was fascinating how her character has a gap between her actual life and ideal world.
Park Sung Hoon will play the role of the real murderer Seo In Woo. The actor described his character as a director of Daehan securities firm who is detailed and confident, and the real owner of the diary that Yook Dong Shik finds. He continued, “I wanted to take on the role because I believe this character has many different sides of himself unlike other psychopath roles from before.” Park Sung Hoon also stated that he is excited about showing off a bromance with Yook Dong Shik.
