Watch: gugudan’s Nayoung Teams Up With VERIVERY’s Dongheon And Yeonho On “Immortal Songs”

gugudan’s Nayoung teamed up with her junior labelmates, VERIVERY’s Dongheon and Yeonho, for a special performance on KBS’s “Immortal Songs!”

The October 5 episode of the show was a Koyote special and featured guest performers Yu Sung Eun and Giant Pink, MAMAMOO, Yook Joong Wan Band, gugudan’s Nayoung and VERIVERY, (G)I-DLE, and Hoppipolla.

Both gugudan and VERIVERY are housed under Jellyfish Entertainment. When asked about their “group” name, Nayoung, Dongheon, and Yeonho said it was “GURIGURI.” Because “GURIGURI” mimics Koyote’s group structure (two male performers, one female performer), Nayoung said she was taking on the role of Shinji, Dongheon said he was taking on the role of Baekga, and Yeonho said he was in the role of Kim Jong Min.

The VERIVERY members also prepared a special dance performance of H.O.T.’s song and got to perform it with Moon Hee Jun.

In a pre-performance interview, the three idols shared how nervous they were for their first collaboration and first “Immortal Songs” performance. The song they chose to perform was Koyote’s “Passion.”

After their performance, Shinji complimented Yeonho in particular and said, “I’ve never thought about replacing any of the male performers in Koyote, but I will think about it now.” However, the trio was not able to beat Yook Joong Wan Band’s score in the end. The final winners of the episode were Hoppipolla.
