Girls' Generation's Sooyoung Appointed As Promotional Ambassador For Film Festival

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung has been selected to represent the Withbom Film Festival!

Sooyoung, who is also active as an actress under the name Choi Sooyoung, was appointed as the promotional ambassador for the 20th annual Withbom Film Festival.

The Withbom Film Festival is centered around the idea of making films accessible to people with physical disabilities. All the films shown at the festival come with Korean subtitles and descriptive video service. The brand that provides this service was previously known as “Barrier-Free,” but has been rebranded as “Withbom,” hence the name of the festival.

Previous promotional ambassadors for this festival have included Go Kyung Pyo, Ra Mi Ran, Han Ji Min, Jin Se Yeon, On Joo Wan, and Chun Woo Hee.

Sooyoung said in a statement, “It is an honor to participate in such a meaningful film festival as a promotional ambassador. Even more so because this is the 20th anniversary of the film festival’s inauguration, I will do my best to promote this film festival and its commitment to overcoming communication differences between people with and without disabilities.”

The Withbom Film Festival will take place from November 8 to 11.
