TVXQ has set a new record in Japan!

TVXQ’s tenth full Japanese album “XV” topped Oricon’s weekly album chart (for the week from October 14 through 20) with 155,000 copies sold in its first week of release, making it the duo’s eighth time topping the chart. Oricon, Japan’s largest music statistics site, announced that TVXQ has now become the sole foreign artist with the most No.1s on the weekly album chart. Previously, TVXQ jointly held the record with BoA.

“XV” was released on October 16 to mark TVXQ’s 15th debut anniversary in Japan and contains a total of 15 tracks. The album will also be released on Korean music streaming sites on October 23 at noon KST.

Meanwhile, TVXQ will be embarking on their fifth dome tour in Japan starting November 9 in Fukuoka.
