X1's Kim Woo Seok Takes Over Twitter's Worldwide Trends As Fans + Lee Jin Hyuk Celebrate His Birthday

As X1’s Kim Woo Seok rang in his 23rd birthday, fans celebrated the occasion by taking over Twitter with an outpouring of love for the idol!

Kim Woo Seok officially turned 23 years old (by international reckoning) on October 27, and shortly after midnight KST, his fans began trending numerous hashtags related to the idol in honor of his special day.

As of 1:32 a.m. KST, three of the top eight worldwide trends on Twitter were dedicated to Kim Woo Seok, including two Korean hashtags playfully riffing off the singer’s nickname “Jjallang-ie.” A hashtag translating to “We love Kim Woo Seok’s birthday” was at No. 2 on the list, #HAPPY_WOOSEOK_DAY at No. 5, and a hashtag translating to “Happy Birthday to our beloved Woo Seok” at No. 8.

Fellow UP10TION member Lee Jin Hyuk also took to Instagram at midnight to wish his bandmate a happy birthday. The idol posted a photo of a street ad celebrating Kim Woo Seok’s birthday and wrote, “I happened to see this while walking by, hehe. Happy birthday.”

X1’s official Twitter account joined in on the celebration by posting an adorable baby photo of Kim Woo Seok and writing, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOOSEOK. Today is X1’s Woo Seok’s 24th birthday [by Korean reckoning]! Woo Seok, who asked ONE IT [X1’s fandom] to join him by leaving traces of themselves in his future footprints. In order to make Woo Seok’s 24th birthday a footprint of a happy memory, ONE IT, please imprint your traces deeply today.”

Kim Woo Seok’s agency TOP Media also shared its own post for the birthday boy, writing in Korean, “Happy Birthday to Kim Woo Seok!”
