Watch: NU'EST's Ren Stuns With Gorgeous Cover Of Lady Gaga's "Shallow" From "A Star Is Born"

NU’EST’s Ren wowed the crowd with his singing on the latest episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook”!

All five members of NU’EST appeared together as guests on the October 25 broadcast of the KBS music talk show, where they chatted with host Yoo Hee Yeol and performed their new title track “LOVE ME.”

At one point during the episode, Yoo Hee Yeol took a moment to praise NU’EST for their talent, perseverance, and work ethic. He noted, “Of course NU’EST was born with great looks, talent, and skills, but to be honest, [to succeed as they have,] you need practice, practice, and even more practice—blood, sweat, and tears. NU’EST’s vocal line is really strong.”

“Baekho and Minhyun have even shown their skills on ‘The King of Mask Singer,'” he continued, “but there’s another member of the vocal line: Ren. I’d really like to hear Ren’s voice properly today. Can you perform something for us?”

Ren, a devoted Lady Gaga fan who has often spoken about his love for the singer, responded by bringing up her recent movie “A Star is Born.” “The film ‘A Star is Born’ really left a strong impression on me after I watched it,” he said, “and I felt like I could really relate to the lyrics of the song ‘Shallow.'”

The NU’EST member then went on to blow the audience away with a beautiful rendition of the Academy Award-winning song, which was originally song by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the film.
