Girls' Generation's Taeyeon Tops iTunes Charts Worldwide With "Purpose"

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon has taken the No. 1 spot on several international iTunes charts with her new album “Purpose”!

Taeyeon released her second studio album “Purpose” on October 28. The same day, the album topped iTunes charts in 21 countries, including Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Vietnam, and more.

Furthermore, the title track “Spark” rose to the top of realtime music charts in Korea, and the accompanying music video achieved No. 1 on the Korean MV chart of China’s largest music site, QQ Music.

“Spark” is an alternative soul pop genre track that showcases Taeyeon’s impressive vocals over a powerful melody. The lyrics allude to a spark to express Taeyeon’s identity and vision as an artist. Check out the music video here!
