Watch: N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung Delivers A Refreshing Performance On “Immortal Songs”
The November 2 broadcast of KBS’s “Immortal Songs” featured songwriter Park Sung Hoon as the legendary artist. Yoo Hwe Seung covered Tae Jin Ah’s “Love Is Not a Joke.”
In the interview prior to his performance, Yoo Hwe Seung shared, “When I first came to my agency, they told me I had an old-fashioned [voice]. I practiced a lot to get rid of that. Since we are doing an episode with trot songwriter Park Sung Hoon, I’m going to take a bit of those hidden vocals out. I prepared an exciting stage, so please enjoy it with me while clapping along. I’ll do my best. Let’s do it!”
The N.Flying member was the second to perform, and he filled the stage with his explosive vocals and exciting energy. He even wore a golden jacket and a black fedora. He showed sophisticated stage manners from the beginning, and the audience cheered when he showcased dance moves towards the end of the song.
Lovelyz’s Kei, who also performed on the same day, said in praise, “He tore up the stage,” and Romantic Punch’s Bae In Hyuk said, “It was a very exciting performance.”
Yoo Hwe Seung took the win that round over Kei with 398 votes. His lead held until Romantic Punch’s performance garnered 419 votes. The overall episode was won by Hong Kyung Min and Park Seo Jin with 442 votes.
