The battle for Saturday drama viewership ratings is heating up!

On November 2, MBC’s new Saturday drama “Never Twice” made a promising start, premiering to solid ratings in the face of stiff competition from SBS’s “Vagabond,” which airs during an overlapping time slot.

“Never Twice” tells the story of the colorful guests at Paradise Inn, who dream of getting back on their feet by overcoming their past failures. Kwak Dong Yeon stars as Na Hae Joon, the heir to a five-star hotel across the street from the Paradise Inn, while Park Se Wan stars as Geum Bak Ha, a cheerful girl who finds solace in the guest house during difficult times.

According to Nielsen Korea, the series premiere of “Never Twice” scored average nationwide ratings of 6.4 percent, 9.1 percent, 7.7 percent, and 7.8 percent for its four parts.

Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi and Suzy‘s “Vagabond” soared to new highs, scoring average nationwide ratings of 10.4 percent and 12.8 percent for its latest episode. Not only did the ratings mark a significant increase in viewership from the drama’s previous broadcast, but it also marked a new personal best for “Vagabond.”

KBS 2TV’s “Beautiful Love Wonderful Life” held onto its spot as the most-watched drama of Saturday nights, scoring average nationwide ratings of 17.3 percent and 20.3 percent for its two parts.
