"When The Camellia Blooms" Responds To Reports Of Drama Being Extended

KBS 2TV’s “When the Camellia Blooms” has officially addressed the reports of an extension to the drama’s run.

On November 8, the drama’s producers firmly denied a report that “When the Camellia Blooms” had been extended from 32 to 40 episodes.

“It’s not true,” said the producers. “From the initial planning stages, this drama was discussed as a 20-part (40 episodes by PCM standards) production. Its programming as a 20-part drama was already decided before it began airing.”

The producers added, “Even on portal sites, the program was already listed as [40 episodes], so an ‘extension’ was never part of the equation.”

“When the Camellia Blooms,” which airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, will air its final episode on November 21 at 10 p.m. KST.
