Yoo Jae Suk Describes The Time He Thought His Career Was Over

Yoo Jae Suk opened up about his struggles in the beginning of his career.

On the November 12 episode of “Yoo Quiz on the Block 2,” Jo Se Ho and Yoo Jae Suk met a woman who described herself as a huge fan of Yoo Jae Suk.

She said, “I watched you since when you used to stammer. I wondered, ‘How will he get popular?'” Making him burst into laughter, she added, “I used to think, ‘He’s so pitiful. He’s not improving at all.'”

The show played a clip from Yoo Jae Suk’s past TV appearance where he struggled to say his lines before apologizing to the host for his mistake.

Yoo Jae Suk explained, “It’s true. It was in the 90s when I used to stammer. I also thought, ‘This is the end for me.’ It was unfixable.” Jo Se Ho said, “How can you do that during a live broadcast?”

The fan continued, “But you suddenly started doing something different [MCing] and began to fly and soar. You’ve become ‘God Yoo,’ but it’s not like you lack at self-care and failed. We see many people who turn out like that.”
