Watch: Yoon Shi Yoon Gets Into The Mind Of A Serial Killer In “Psychopath Diary” Highlight Clip
tvN’s upcoming drama “Psychopath Diary” has unveiled a thrilling new preview!
“Psychopath Diary” tells the story of Yook Dong Shik (played by Yoon Shi Yoon), a man who gets into an accident while running away from a murder he witnesses and loses his memory. He stumbles upon a diary that records the process of committing murders, and he begins to believe that he is a psychopathic serial killer.
The newly-released clip begins with a handcuffed Yook Dong Shik emerging from the police station and declaring, “I’m a psychopathic killer.” It then rewinds to three months prior and follows his backstory as a pushover office worker. Scenes of his difficult work life intermix with an ongoing serial murder investigation led by Shim Bo Kyung (played by Jung In Sun) and the perpetration of those very crimes by Seo In Woo (played by Park Sung Hoon), a highly intelligent serial killer that preys on downtrodden people.
These three characters come together one fateful night when Yook Dong Shik coincidentally picks up Seo In Woo’s diary and subsequently gets hit by a police cruiser driven by Shim Bo Kyung, losing his memories.
At first, Yook Dong Shik believes he is the one who wrote in the diary, and he hilariously tests it by trying – and failing – to run 5 kilometers (approximately 3.1 miles) like specified in the killer’s notes. However, bit by bit, he pieces things together and sets out to find the real psychopath who framed him by adopting the mindset of a serial killer, albeit a bumbling one. His quirky antics throw Seo In Woo off, and the two engage in a battle of wits between the fake and real killer that is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
