Points To Look Out For As

KBS2’s “When the Camellia Blooms” is quickly reaching its climax, as only two weeks remain until the drama comes to a close.

The drama’s producers shared that the upcoming story will be harder than ever to predict and revealed three points to look out for in the remaining four episodes.

Spoilers ahead

Is the Joker the culprit of Hyang Mi’s (Son Dam Bi’s) murder? Or is someone harboring a grudge disguising as the Joker?

Hyang Mi had been getting herself into dangerous situations while carrying out her plan to gather 100 million won (approximately $85,630). She ended up dying at the hands of an unknown culprit, and interestingly enough, everyone who saw her in her last moments was someone who was likely to have a reason for killing her. Anyone, including Kang Jong Ryul (Kim Ji Suk), Jessica (Ji Yi Soo), No Gyu Tae (Oh Jung Se), Hong Ja Young (Uhm Hye Ran), and Jo Jung Sook (Lee Jung Eun), is a potential suspect.

What will happen to Dong Baek and her sick mother?

Dong Baek (Gong Hyo Jin) has had her fair share of goodbyes in life. First, she parted with her mother at the age of seven. She broke up with her first love Kang Jong Ryul, and she also lost Hyang Mi, who was like family to her. She didn’t want to have to part ways with anyone anymore, but she had come face-to-face with another crisis.

Dong Baek’s mother returned 27 years after she left her. She pretended to have Alzheimer’s disease, but it turned out that she was actually suffering from kidney dialysis. She had to receive a kidney transplant in order to survive, but Dong Baek left her side after mistakenly believing that her mother had only returned to ask her for a transplant. Will they be able to resolve their misunderstandings and stay together this time?

In light of Kwak Deok Soon’s (Go Doo Shim‘s) adamant opposition, what does the future hold for Dong Baek and Yong Shik (Kang Ha Neul)?

Even more obstacles await Dong Baek. The deeper Dong Baek and Yong Shik’s relationship got, the more hostile Yong Shik’s mother Deok Soon became. She had suffered a lot while raising Yong Shik, which is why she didn’t want Yong Shik to take the difficult path of raising Dong Baek’s child.

Deok Soon was even more enraged when Yong Shik got severely burned because of Dong Baek’s involvement in the Joker’s case. Though it will be difficult to change Deok Soon’s mind, Dong Baek and Yong Shik will have to find a way achieve that difficult task.

“When the Camellia Blooms” airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m. KST.
