tvN's New Variety Show "RUN" Shares 1st Look And Details Of Running Crew Led By Ji Sung

tvN has shared their first look and details of their new variety show!

tvN’s “RUN” will be a new variety show that airs in January 2020 and follows a running crew of celebrities who visit running spots in and outside of Korea. Ji Sung, Kang Ki Young, Hwang Hee, and Lee Tae Sun have confirmed their appearances on the show, and they will be participating in an international marathon in Florence, Italy.

The variety show has been met with high anticipation to see the chemistry of the group, especially as this will be the first time Ji Sung is a fixed cast member on a variety show. Ji Sung is said to go jogging every morning to have time to focus on himself. Focusing on having fun rather than setting new records, Ji Sung will lead the members to hidden running spots and showcase new charms.

Kang Ki Young will bring more life to the set with his signature bright energy, and he is very interested in running, having once been an honorary ambassador for a marathon event. He is set to grow as a true runner through the show. Joining them are Hwang Hee, who became close with Ji Sung through the drama “Doctor John,” and Lee Tae Sun, the youngest member.

The first stills show the quartet enjoying a run around Bukchon. With Ji Sung in the lead, they are all going between focusing on the run and chatting comfortably amongst themselves. Producing director (PD) Kim Hyun Sil stated, “Running is a time to take a break from life and focus on yourself. As running culture is gaining traction these days, many people are finding self-esteem, health, and healing. We hope viewers will be able to find healing and an urge to run after watching our show, and we will showcase beautiful running spots both in and outside of Korea.”

“RUN” is set to premiere in January 2020.
