BTS’s latest mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona” shot up 69 spots on the Billboard 200 this week!

On the chart dated November 23, the group’s April mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona” has grabbed the No. 67 spot. Last week, the album was at No. 136.

“Map of the Soul: Persona” is BTS’s third album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States. It has now been on the chart for 27 nonconsecutive weeks. While it has briefly dropped off the chart in the past, it’s seen a resurgence after the release of new versions of the album’s track “Make It Right” that feature singer Lauv.

Another potential contributing factor for the album’s rise this week is the increase in sales of BTS’s albums following the results of the 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards on November 10. While BTS was reportedly in the lead in the online voting for all three categories they were nominated for, they did not receive any awards. In 2018, BTS won four awards at the 2018 E! People’s Choice Awards.

After the ceremony this year, ARMY showed their fandom power as all of the albums that BTS has released in Korea re-entered the iTunes Top Albums chart in the United States as of the morning KST of November 12, with “Map of the Soul: Persona” even reaching No. 2.

Congratulations to BTS and ARMY!
