Super Junior’s Shindong Shares Progress From His Current Weight Loss Journey

Super Junior’s Shindong has shared an update on his weight loss journey.

Late last month, Shindong announced that he would be focusing on losing weight for health reasons, and has been able to lose 17 kilograms, going from a starting weight of 116 kilograms to 99 kilograms.

Shindong is said to have decided to lose weight for health reasons and to continue his career as a member of Super Junior. He had been suffering from continued weight fluctuations from trying out different diets, and he shared that he has been finding it harder to dance on stage as his overall level of physical activity has decreased. Feeling that he needed to find a healthier way of losing weight, Shindong is said to have been inspired by Yoo Jae Hwan who recently lost 32 kilograms, and followed the same program.

He stated, “I’ve been on a lot of diets, so many that I could say that I’ve tried all of them. I was recently at my heaviest due to weight fluctuations and I wasn’t sure if I could lose this weight on my own so I decided to get professional help.” Shindong added, “I’ve been eating a balanced diet with three meals a day and seeing the weight fall off even without exercise, I realized why I had been failing at my other diets. Through AI analysis, I was able to understand the state of my body and get professional consulting, and it’s so interesting and fun to watch my health improve through data.”

Shindong also jokingly talked about how his stylist is having a hard time finding new clothes for him as he’s gotten slimmer and his old clothes don’t fit in. He happily added that he feels more energetic and is having more fun when he’s dancing on stage.

He shared photos of his progress on his personal Instagram account and wrote, “It’s not over yet, I’m not even halfway there!”
