Song Ha Ye Personally Speaks Up After Park Kyung's Chart Manipulation Accusations

Song Ha Ye has opened up about facing sajaegi accusations.

Block B’s Park Kyung caused a stir on November 24 when he accused artists Vibe, Song Ha Ye, Lim Jae Hyun, Jeon Sang Keun, Jang Deok Cheol, and Hwang In Wook of sajaegi (the manipulation of sales numbers through bulk buying by an artist’s own agency). Since then, all of the artists in the aforementioned tweet have announced plans to take legal action against Park Kyung for defamation.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Song Ha Ye shared her thoughts on the accusation. Her full statement is below:

After being ‘someone who people had never seen or heard of before’ for six years after my debut, I thankfully received good songs and suddenly was loved a lot by many people, while also being a target of baseless accusations and criticism that were proportionate to the size of that love. I believed that my sincere and consistent actions were better ways to disprove them and express my sincerity instead of saying a few words, despite feeling proud of myself and feeling that it was unfair, and I silently worked hard to promote for over half a year.

I was harassed with words that couldn’t be said to a person’s face, such as being called ‘a repulsive, shameless b**** who deceived everyone and committed unconscionable illegal acts,’ which was said so easily as if it were the truth. I learned all too well that saying the truth or saying ‘I’ve never done that’ is pointless when it comes to people who are really curious about what’s true and people who just don’t like seeing someone they dislike being happy and smiling. Since you’ve given me this opportunity, I’ll use this well.

I sincerely want the truth to be revealed more than anyone else, but I also know that I’m a still a powerless adult who has not fully grown up yet. I trust that many people who are smarter and wiser will take this on, and I will not say a single word while the lawsuit is in process, after deciding that the only thing I can do is post some words that can be written into an article and wait.

I sincerely thank the senior artist, who gave me sincere support and encouragement after meeting at a radio show, for opening pandora’s box despite the risk of damage to his career. I won’t get tired until the end and will try my best to confidently make music as I do now.
