BTS Beats Out The Rolling Stones, Metallica, And More To Become Top-Grossing Tour Group Of 2019

As 2019 comes to a close, BTS has made history as the highest-grossing tour group of the year!

According to Billboard’s year-end report, BTS grossed an impressive $196.4 million over the course of the year, drawing a total of over 1.6 million attendees to 42 shows in 2019 alone. Those figures placed BTS securely at the top of the list of this year’s top-grossing tour groups, surpassing veteran groups like The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Backstreet Boys, and KISS.

BTS was also the third highest-grossing tour act overall, coming in second only to Ed Sheeran and P!nk—making Billboard Boxscore history with the highest year-end ranking ever achieved on the Top 40 Tours list by an act performing primarily in a non-English language.

The group also claimed seven of the top 25 spots on Billboard’s year-end Boxscores list for 2019. BTS’s highest ranking on the Top 25 Boxscores List was No. 6, for their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” shows at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on May 4 and 5 (which grossed a total of $16,695,461). They also took No. 10 (for their shows in Bangkok on April 6 and 7), No. 12 (New Jersey on May 18 and 19), No. 13 (Paris on June 7 and 8), No. 14 (London on June 1 and 2), No. 16 (Chicago on May 11 and 12) and No. 25 (Seoul on October 26, 27, and 29).

As previously reported, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stadium tour alone grossed a staggering $116.6 million this year.

Congratulations to BTS on their historic achievement!
