BTS, BLACKPINK, Super Junior, NU'EST, And More Certified Platinum By Gaon Chart

Gaon Chart has revealed its latest batch of official platinum certifications!

Last year, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a brand-new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while songs receive a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.

On December 12, Gaon Chart announced that Super Junior’s ninth studio album “Time_Slip” and NU’EST’s sixth mini album “Happily Ever After” had both received official platinum certifications after selling over 250,000 copies each.

Meanwhile, BTS’s “Fake Love” and BLACKPINK’s “Forever Young” both received official platinum certifications in the download category after surpassing 2.5 million downloads each.

Finally, in the streaming category, Song Ha Ye’s “Your Regards” was officially certified platinum after reaching 100 million streams.
