BLACKPINK Fans Express Demands About The Group's Activities In Front Of YG Headquarters + YG Releases Statement

YG Entertainment has responded to fans’ protests regarding BLACKPINK’s activities.

On December 16, BLACKPINK’s fans expressed their demands to YG by having a truck with a billboard run around the YG headquarters in Mapo District, Seoul. An electronic billboard on the truck showed a video detailing the specific requests of the fans. Some of the requests include having two comebacks a year, execution of the solo projects that were promised, more domestic activities like TV show and radio show appearances, and attending year-end shows.

BLACKPINK’s latest comeback was in April with “Kill This Love,” and the group has since been focusing on their world tour and other overseas activities. Jennie is the only member to have promoted solo with her 2018 track “SOLO.”

In the afternoon, YG released the following statement:

YG is all ears when it comes to fans’ concerns regarding all of our artists including BLACKPINK.

BLACKPINK has successfully wrapped up their world tour this year that consisted of 32 concerts in four continents and 23 cities, and they are currently on their Japanese dome tour. At the same time, they are recording several new songs in the studio.

We ask you to send BLACKPINK warm words of support, as they are working hard to prepare for their new album with goals for release in early 2020.

All of us at YG would like to express our deepest gratitude to fans for the feedback and support, and we will always do our absolute best to bring the best music YG has to offer.
