Actress Im Ye Jin Leaves YG Entertainment

Veteran actress Im Ye Jin recently parted ways with YG Entertainment.

On December 17, YG Entertainment shared, “Our contract with Im Ye Jin recently expired, and after discussion, we decided not to renew the contract.”

The actress signed with YG Entertainment in January 2014. Soon after, former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk shared on a variety program, “I liked Im Ye Jin when I was younger. Now she’s signed to YG Entertainment. It made me think that you really can’t predict life.” In response, the actress once commented, “Yang Hyun Suk said that he was a fan of mine since he was younger. That had an influence [on my contract agreement].”

Im Ye Jin made her debut in 1976 with the film “Transgression” and has since appeared in numerous popular dramas including “Princess Hours,” “Boys Over Flowers,” “The Producers,” and “Hwayugi.” She most recently appeared in hit weekend drama “My Only One” as Uee‘s adoptive mother.
