Muzie And Super Junior's Leeteuk Reveal Struggle For Backpay From KBS Show

Singer Muzie and Super Junior’s Leeteuk are currently fighting for pay owed to them by KBS.

According to an industry representative, the two participated in a children’s show that aired on KBS Kids, and that they were not paid for the six months that they filmed the show.

Muzie opened up about the situation on December 16 on the MBC Radio show, “2 O’clock Date With Muzie and Ahn Young Mi.” He said, “I haven’t received any of the pay from last year’s work. If they continue to delay, I’ll have no choice but to release the names of the broadcasting station and the director. No one has received any pay [for their work], from the camera operators to the stylists.”

Representatives of Muzie told Star News, “The producers have promised that they’ll deliver the pay by the end of the month. It’s a situation we’re keeping an eye on.”

Adding their side, a representative of Leeteuk also said, “As of right now [Leeteuk] still hasn’t received his backpay for participation. We haven’t received any contact [from them], so right now we can only wait.”

On the other hand, the organization behind the program, KBS Promotion of Korean Language, issued their own statement. “We’ve been pressing The Korea Institute of Clinical Psychology, the ones in charge of producing the program, to get the pay situation resolved. We were told that [the production company] would fix the situation by the end of October.”
