The day is finally here–the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon Music Festival (hereafter 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon) is upon us!

With this kind of luxury lineup and the hottest stages in store, you won’t want to miss this song festival. Here are three things to keep an eye out for in this year’s SBS Gayo Daejeon.

BTS: The Christmas Carol Edition

BTS previously teased a special Christmas stage, which will be the opening act for the event. The group has made a lot of people curious with both the teaser for the Christmas stage as well as with the “touch teaser” they released prior to that. Not only that, but the group almost certainly will be performing some of their top hits at the event.

Keyword: TOUCH

The theme of this year’s SBS Gayo Daejeon is “touch,” so it’s only fitting that the special performance stages follow suit with that theme. NCT Dream and Stray Kids will join forces to form the “Blusher Boys,” showing their dewy, fresh-faced looks for the stage.

But they’re not the only ones who’ve prepared special stages! NU’EST’s JR and GOT7‘s Jackson will be showcasing a powerful performance together, MAMAMOO‘s Hwasa and Chungha will team up for a charismatic hip-hop performance, and TWICE‘s Tzuyu and AOA’s Seolhyun will be showing off an emotional performance. The six performers together will be showcasing three different styles for a special collaboration stage called “Don’t Touch.”

Also joining the special stages are Red Velvet‘s Wendy, Oh My Girl‘s Seunghee, GFRIEND‘s Eunha, and MAMAMOO’s Solar for a collaboration called “Dream Touch,” and the “visual couple” comprised of Astro’s Cha Eun Woo and Red Velvet’s Irene will perform a duet stage called “Re-touch.”

Jun Hyun Moo and AOA’s Seolhyun: Their First MC Chemistry

As previously reported, Jun Hyun Moo and AOA’s Seolhyun will be this year’s hosts for the SBS Gayo Daejeon. While Jun Hyun Moo has hosted this particular song festival two years running, it is Seolhyun’s first time hosting the SBS Gayo Daejeon. Many people are curious to see how their chemistry will be, since it is the first time they are hosting together.

The 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon is set to take place on December 25 at 5:50 p.m. KST and will feature a star-studded lineup of performers including BTS, TWICE, Red Velvet, GOT7, MAMAMOO, SEVENTEEN, NU’EST, AOA, MONSTA X, Apink, GFRIEND, ASTRO, Stray Kids, Chungha, Oh My Girl, NCT Dream, NCT 127, ITZY, N.Flying, TXT, and more.
