IU Makes Meaningful Donation In Her And Fan Club’s Names After Being Inspired By Fans
IU and UAENAs [IU’s official fan club name] continue to warm hearts with their good deeds!
On December 30, IU took to her personal Instagram account to write, “This is because I was moved by our UAENAs beautiful hearts a few days ago. Let’s keep doing good things together, UAENA! With just a day or so left of 2019, I hope our UAENA are the happiest people right now.”
The photo she uploaded is a document of proof that 100 million won (approximately $86,500) was donated to the Korean Foundation for Support of the Senior Citizen in need’s Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone. The donation was made under the name IUAENA, which is a combination of IU and UAENA.
IU recently donated 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation for children who are being raised by their grandparents. Following the news, IU’s fans were inspired to share their own donations, doing volunteer work, making monetary donations, and donating blood to help those in need.
The singer expressed her joy from seeing her fans give back as well and said, “I saw all of the donations you made. Seeing all the beautiful things you did inspired by me is inspiring me as well.”
