C9 Entertainment To File Counter-Lawsuit Against Production Companies Regarding CIX's Reality Show

CIX’s agency C9 Entertainment is in a legal battle with various production companies regarding the group’s reality show.

According to SPOTV NEWS on January 6, “Company A,” who was in charge of producing CIX’s reality program, has filed a lawsuit against C9 Entertainment for compensation for damages.

“Company A” had agreed to produce the show in partnership with C9 Entertainment and they signed a contract with another production company, “Company B.” During filming, C9 Entertainment expressed dissatisfaction with the way “Company B” was filming, beginning their legal battle.

C9 Entertainment eventually notified “Company B” that filming for the reality show was stopping. The agency continued to meet up with “Company A,” despite that a consensus had not been reached about the expenses from the production period.

Following this minor disagreement, C9 Entertainment proceeded to produce CIX’s reality show independently. However, they included clips that were filmed by “Company B.” As a result, “Company A” inquired about production costs and usage of their footage, but claim that they were unable to receive an official response from C9 Entertainment.

Regarding this, C9 Entertainment stated, “We are aware that ‘Company A’ is filing a lawsuit. While producing the reality program, we also suffered a lot of damage due to ‘Company A.’ We plan to file a compensation claim.”
