Park Shi Hoo In Talks To Star As Lead Of New Historical Drama

Park Shi Hoo is in talks to star in TV Chosun’s upcoming historical drama!

On January 8, a drama industry representative said to Ilgan Sports, “Park Shi Hoo is confirmed to star as the lead of the TV Chosun drama ‘Wind and Cloud and Rain’ (literal title).”

Following reports, a representative Park Shi Hoo clarified, “[The drama is] a project he is currently in talks together with the production company.”

If Park Shi Hoo accepts the role, he will be playing the role of Joseon’s greatest fortune teller and physiognomist Choi Chun Joong. He is a hero of the turbulent times, and he is king of Joseon’s people. Choi Chun Joong possesses the great ambition of building a new nation after overturning Joseon, which has been ruined by the men in power.

With handsome looks, Choi Chun Joong is a sophisticated man who excels in the arts including martial arts, gambling, singing, and dancing. He is also a romantic who puts everything in the line for the woman he loves. With a way with words and a brilliant mind for politics, he’ll create a miracle, making Yi Ha Eung the most powerful man in Joseon, Yi Ha Eung’s son Lee Jae Hwang into a King, and Min Ja Young, a girl from the streets, into Joseon’s empress.

“Wind and Cloud and Rain” will allow viewers to look back on today’s reality through the mysterious story of a brilliant man’s impressive trial, love, hardship, and hope. With the female lead’s mystical psychic ability, the story will also expand its genre with its new and extraordinary subject.

The upcoming drama will be lead by director Yoon Sang Ho and written by scriptwriter Bang Ji Young, and it is expected to air sometime in spring 2020.
