Jung Ryeo Won Shares Why She Loves Her Character In

Actress Jung Ryeo Won recently sat down with JTBC’s “JTALK” to give an interview about her drama “War of Prosecutors.”

“War of Prosecutors” follow the lives of ordinary prosecutors and centers on the story of a prosecutor named Lee Sun Woong (played by Lee Sun Gyun), who works at his local district’s Public Prosecutors’ Office, and a prosecutor named Cha Myung Joo (played by Jung Ryeo Won), who was a rising star at the Central District Office before suddenly getting transferred to a branch office.

About her character, Cha Myung Joo, Jung Ryeo Won said, “She has a laser focus when it comes to work and she has a very cold and inexpressive personality. When I first saw the script, I thought she was rather suffocating. But she has her own reasons for being that way. She’s always been on top and she’s always competing to be the best, but she has scars in her past as well.”

The actress shared that she likes that Cha Myung Joo does not care what other people think of her and always speaks her mind. “I’m not like that in real life,” she said. “That’s something that has come to be part of my image. In real life, I’m a very constrained person, so I live vicariously through my acting.”

Jung Ryeo Won also talked about working with Lee Sun Gyun. “I thought that Lee Sun Gyun was the only person who could play Lee Sun Woong, so I’m glad that he took on the role,” she said. With a laugh, she added, “Apart from filming, the restaurants he recommends are great.”
