CGV Responds To Speculation About Release Of IZ*ONE's Concert Film

The cinema company CGV has clarified confusion after a report about a short version of IZ*ONE’s concert film.

Recently, a news outlet reported that fans had noticed that the Online Ratings Service registration included a film titled “Eyes on Me: The Movie Short Version,” which was described on the site as undergoing evaluation to determine its rating.

“Eyes on Me: The Movie” is a film that follows IZ*ONE both on stage and behind the scenes at their first concert. The movie was planned to hit theaters on November 15, but its release was postponed due to the vote manipulation controversy surrounding the “Produce 101” series. With the so-called “short version” of the film appearing on the ratings website, there was some speculation that the movie might finally be released as a shorter edited version that removed references to the controversial program.

However, on January 17, a source from CGV told SPOTV News, “While carrying out a ratings evaluation for another film’s release, there was a registration error.” They added, “There are absolutely no plans for the release of ‘Eyes on Me.'”

In regard to why it was titled as a “short version,” the source clarified, “There is no short version” and said it was due to a registration error. The film is no longer included on the list on the Online Ratings Service website.

The controversy surrounding “Produce 101” also led to the postponement of the group’s full album that was due out last November, and they have been on hiatus since then. After the disbandment of X1 on January 6, a source from CJ ENM stated that the company and each of the IZ*ONE members’ agencies are thinking positively about the possibility of IZ*ONE resuming activities.
