iKON Talks About Filming "Dive" MV, Being Back After A Long Time, And More

February 6, iKON held a countdown V Live broadcast for the release of their third mini album “i DECIDE.”

Talking about their title track “Dive,” Jinhwan said, “The harmonica sound is so sexy.” Junhoe said, “We revealed footage from the music video shoot for ‘Dive’ early,” and showed some of the choreography for the song.

Donghyuk then introduced their song “Flower,” which he worked on as the main producer. The song talks about the group’s emotions toward their fans, who are always with them. Donghyuk said, “Yunhyeong really liked the song, so it gave me a lot of strength. The other members liked it, too.”

Jinhwan added, “Donghyuk is writing a lot of songs and working hard these days, so seeing his songs get put on the album, I’m really proud.” Donghyuk said, “[‘Flower’] was made with fans in mind, so I hope it can be of comfort to you.”

Responding to a fan’s comment that they feel emotional seeing iKON again after a long time, Donghyuk said, “We feel the same. Including being on V App, this is all the first time for us in a long time, and it feels strange. We’re both excited and a little nervous.”

Sharing stories about the filming of their “Dive” music video, Jinhwan said, “We worked hard on it for four days and three nights.” Recalling his scene in which he jumps through a burning frame, he said, “I jump through a burning frame like a lion. After I jumped, I immediately checked to see if my clothes had caught fire. It was the most difficult among any of our music videos thus far in terms of danger. It was really hard.”

Junhoe added, “It was the case where even if you had a lot of individual scenes, you would maybe film on your own for two hours, but [Jinhwan] filmed for six. He started filming at 11 p.m., and I started [my scenes] at 6 a.m. We saw the music video, and [Jinhwan’s] scenes came out really cool.”
