Kim Gun Woo Confirmed To Star In Korea-Philippines Joint Production Film

Actor Kim Gun Woo has been cast as the male lead in a joint Korean and Philippines film!

His agency, Good People, announced on February 15 that he is currently filming the role of Jay, the male lead in the joint Korea-Philippines film titled “Ultimate Oppa.” He will be joined by Bela Padilla, a top Filipino actress who will play the heroine Yana.

“Ultimate Oppa” is a romantic comedy about a Jay, a manager of a Hallyu star, who meets Yana, a Filipino girl who is a fan of Korean stars. Filming will take place in South Korea and the Philippines to include various attractions of the two countries. Producing director (PD) Hwang In Roo, who directed the dramas “Princess Hours,” “The Return of Iljimae,” and “Playful Kiss,” will be the one producing this film. Reality Entertainment and Viva Entertainment will be the companies behind the joint production.

Kim Gun Woo made a strong debut as a martial arts fighter named Kim Tak Soo in the 2017 drama “Fight My Way.” He proved his outstanding acting skills through various works, such as “Live,” “Less than Evil,” and  “Catch the Ghost.” In “Ultimate Oppa,” he will draw attention with his sophisticated visuals and immersive performance.
