Watch: Joo Ji Hoon Battles Both The Living And Dead In Thrilling Teaser For “Kingdom” Season 2
Season 2 of the Netflix original series “Kingdom” has released a thrilling new teaser ahead of the new season.
“Kingdom” is a mystery thriller that tackles a zombie apocalypse taking place in the Joseon era. Following the first season, the second season will follow the crown prince’s battle to keep his people safe while feeling as though he can’t trust anyone.
The teaser begins where the first season ended, with crown prince Lee Chang (Joo Ji Hoon) staring in horror at zombies that don’t go to sleep during the day like they used to and instead continue to charge ahead. Prime minister Jo Hak Joo (Ryu Seung Ryong) continues to push Lee Chang into a corner, while Seo Bi (Bae Doona) gets one step closer to the symptoms and cause of the zombie outbreak. Lee Chang appears to be more determined than ever as he states, “We must save our people. Will you follow me?”
At the end of their long journey, Lee Chang aims his sword at the throne and claims, “The place does not belong to you.” The Queen (Kim Hye Joon), who is at the other end of his sword, gives him a smirk as she looks down at him. The tagline, “Face off against the living and stop the dead,” reflects the struggle Lee Chang has to ward off the zombie outbreak while also having to deal with the Jo family’s greed and ambition.
The final scene has Lee Chang saying, “They used to disappear when the sun rose,” and looking back into a dark void as the sound of zombies nears.
“Kingdom” is set to make its premiere on March 13 on Netflix.
