Red Velvet's Wendy Returns To Instagram On Her Birthday For 1st Time Since Injury To Thank Fans

Red Velvet’s Wendy made a welcome return to Instagram!

On February 21, she took to her personal Instagram account to share photos and a message of gratitude to ReVeluvs [Red Velvet’s official fan club name].

This was Wendy’s first Instagram update in almost two months since December 24, 2019. The day after on December 25, Wendy was injured during rehearsals for 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon, which resulted in injuries to her face and fractures in her pelvis and wrist on the right side of her body. She has since been taking a break from all activities to focus on her recovery.

In her message, Wendy not only thanked fans for birthday wishes as her birthday is on February 21, but she also shared an update to how her recovery has been going. She shared warm words with fans in both Korean and English, and her messages read as follows:

Hello, it’s Red Velvet’s Wendy. It’s been a while, right? Were you surprised?

I think I’m posting for the first time in two months. Thank you so much for celebrating my birthday today on February 21. And thanks to your concern and love, I’m recovering well and getting better. I feel like I shocked you and made you worry, I’m sorry. February is already coming to an end. Time feels like it’s going slowly but fast at the same time.

Our ReVeluv, like I said in my Instagram live, I’m not going anywhere and I’m going to be right here. Because I’m going to sing for all my life. So I will recover quickly so I can meet you on stage in good health as soon as I can! Till then, spend every day in happiness!

I’m always so grateful and I love you, our ReVeluv. I miss you so much.
