Golden Child's Bomin Explains Why Promoting As Both Actor + Idol Makes Him Feel Like He Has Multiple Personalities

In a recent interview and pictorial for Dazed magazine, Golden Child’s Bomin opened up about pursuing multiple careers at the same time.

The idol-turned-actor is currently thriving in a number of fields: not only is he busy promoting Golden Child’s new repackaged album “Without You” and hosting KBS’s “Music Bank” at the same time, but he also confirmed earlier this week that he would be starring in the upcoming JTBC drama “18 Again” (literal title).

When asked about what it was like to take on so many different kinds of activities at the same time, Bomin remarked, “I think I find myself transforming depending on my schedule and the type of activities I’m doing.”

He went on to elaborate, “When I’m filming a drama, I transform into my character in that drama; when I’m promoting with my group, I become an idol; and when I’m on a variety show, my personality changes to match the characteristics of that program. I feel like I sometimes develop multiple new personalities in a single day.”

Bomin also shared that he thinks he pours the most energy into his acting, commenting, “I think I’m most passionate when I’m filming dramas.”

“When I’m promoting with my group, I depend a lot on my fellow members,” he explained. “But when I’m filming a drama, I have to do it alone. No one else can do it for me. So I feel a strong sense of responsibility, and I think I end up becoming more passionate about my work.”
