Ji Hyun Woo In Talks To Star In New Romance Drama Based On Webtoon

Ji Hyun Woo may be starring in a new drama!

On March 11, TV Report reported that Ji Hyun Woo would be starring in the new Channel A drama “Oh Man Sang and Prejudice” (literal title) as the male lead Oh Man Sang.

Following reports, a source from Channel A clarified, “Ji Hyun Woo has received an offer for the role of the male lead Oh Man Sang of the webtoon-based drama ‘Oh Man Sang and Prejudice,’ and he is currently reviewing the offer.”

Written by Yoo Hyun Sook, “Oh Man Sang and Prejudice” is a romance webtoon that was released through Daum from 2017 to 2018. Yoo Hyun Sook is also the creator behind “I Steal Peeks At Him Every Day” (literal title), the webtoon “Flower Boy Next Door” is based on, as well as the original webtoon of “Fool’s Love.”

“Oh Man Sang and Prejudice” will be a romance story of two people who face misunderstanding and prejudice all the time. If he accepts the offer, Ji Hyun Woo will play Oh Man Sang, a character who wants to live life cut off from the world after facing the sadness and shock of losing his girlfriend. Eventually, nosy Yoon Da Young approaches him, and the two begin a new love.

Previously, Ji Hyun Woo showcased his acting skills when he starred in the JTBC drama “Awl,” which was also based on a webtoon. Viewers are already anticipating what new charms he’ll showcase in the upcoming drama if he accepts the role. Recently, Ji Hyun Woo also released an album with his band SGO in January, and he rose in popularity with his appearance on MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”).
