“Itaewon Class” chief producer (CP) Jo Joon Hyung talked about what viewers should look forward to in the upcoming episodes of the hit drama.

On March 14, the CP spoke about the JTBC drama, which has enjoyed immense popularity throughout its run, in an interview with Korean news outlet OSEN.

Jo Joon Hyung remarked, “In the remaining episodes [of ‘Itaewon Class,’ the key point will be the return of Jang Geun Won (played by Ahn Bo Hyun) and how Park Sae Roy (played by Park Seo Joon) moves forward with his revenge after the unexpected factor of CEO Jang (played by Yoo Jae Myung) receiving a terminal illness diagnosis.”

He continued, “Please also look forward to the delicately complicated relationships between the characters, from Oh Soo Ah (played by Kwon Nara) to Jang Geun Soo (played by Kim Dong Hee), and what kinds of changes this will bring to Park Sae Roy and Jo Yi Seo (played by Kim Da Mi). Above all, we hope that you both cheer on and relate to the steadfast and unchanging Park Sae Roy as he lives his life while keeping his values intact.”

In the latest episode of “Itaewon Class,” the drama fast-forwarded to four years later, when Dan Bam had grown from a pub to the corporation I.C. However, Jangga was still No. 1 in the industry, and Park Sae Roy reaffirmed his plans for revenge even after hearing about CEO Jang’s terminal illness.

Jang Geun Soo returned after working at Jangga’s U.S. headquarters and took over leading the company. Jang Dae Hee’s health worsened, and he warned his son about Park Sae Roy. “He’s going to come at you someday,” he said. “Be aware.” Jang Dae Hee was then diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was told he had only six months to live. Jang Geun Won, who hadn’t appeared after getting out of jail, returned after hearing this news.

After Park Sae Roy learned about CEO Jang’s diagnosis through Lee Ho Jin (played by Lee David), he called the CEO to say, “I don’t think you should go this easily. You need to be punished by me. Don’t die yet.” In response, Jang Dae Hee stated, “You’re the only person that hopes I’ll live. You’ll be my final entertainment.”

“Itaewon Class” airs on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:50 p.m. KST.
