Watch: BTOB Celebrates 8th Anniversary By Describing What BTOB Means To Them

BTOB shared a touching video to celebrate their anniversary!

BTOB made their debut in March 2012, and they shared a surprise video on March 17 that features the members describing what the group means to them.

“A gift from heaven, we’re just like family now,” said Eunkwang. He said that like another member had told him recently, he thinks of the members whenever he’s eating something delicious or doing something fun. He laughed as he shared his dream that they’ll all grow old together and one day go on a trip together as old men.

Minhyuk described BTOB as his home, sharing a quote that says that a person suffers when they leave home. “When we’re tired, the thing that relaxes us and is the warmest is our home,” he said. “BTOB is that kind of home for me.”

For Changsub, BTOB is “the beansprouts in beansprout soup,” pointing out that it’s not beansprout soup without beansprouts. “They’re my family,” he said. “They’re a big part of my life that I can’t do without.”

Hyunsik said the BTOB members are his brothers. “We don’t share the same blood but I think our relationship is stronger and thicker than blood.” He added, “I think I’m so lucky to have the BTOB members.”

Peniel said that since his real family in the United States, BTOB is his family. Ilhoon described BTOB as coffee, explaining that coffee was bitter and awkward but as he kept drinking it, it became his habit. “Just like coffee wakes me up in the morning, BTOB does the same thing for me,” he said.

Yook Sungjae lastly said that BTOB is “material,” explaining that he said this because the syllable “Jae” in his name means “material” and so he means that BTOB is part of his name. In addition, the “Sung” in his name means “star,” and he described BTOB as the material that makes them stars.
