Actor Moon Ji Yoon Passes Away

Actor Moon Ji Yoon has passed away due to acute septicemia (blood poisoning).

A source from his agency Family ENT. confirmed that the actor passed away on March 18 at 8:56 p.m. KST. They told Xportsnews, “He recently went to the hospital because he had a severe sore throat, but his condition became much worse and he was moved to the intensive care unit. He lost consciousness after that and he was not able to recover.”

The source stated, “I’ve worked with Moon Ji Yoon for a long time, and he was someone who was very passionate and only thought about acting. It’s so heartbreaking that he has suddenly passed away.”

They went on to say, “He was a healthy person. I hope that there won’t be speculation.”

Moon Ji Yoon was born in 1984 and made his acting debut in 2002 through the drama “Romance.” He went on to appear in many works, including the dramas “Hyunjung, I Love You,” “Sassy Girl Chunhyang,” “Iljimae,” “Big,” “May Queen,” “Cheese in the Trap,” and “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo,” as well as films including “Mr. Wacky,” “Cheese in the Trap,” “Whatcha Wearin’?” and more.
