Agency Issues Apology After Fly To The Sky's Hwanhee Is Booked Without Detention For Drunk Driving

Fly to the Sky’s Hwanhee is under investigation for driving under the influence.

On March 21, it was reported that the singer had been caught by police for drunk driving. According to the Gyeonggi Yongin Southern Provincial Police Agency, Hwanhee was booked without detention for violations of traffic laws.

He is being charged with driving his car around the Bojeong neighborhood in Giheung, Yongin at 6 a.m. KST on March 21 while intoxicated, and causing a minor collision. At the time he was discovered by police, Hwanhee is said to have had a blood alcohol content of 0.061 percent, which is grounds to have a person’s license suspended. The singer was booked without detention and he will be called to the police station next week for questioning.

Following the news, Hwanhee’s agency H2media released a statement that reads as follows:

This is Hwanhee’s agency H2media.

Firstly, we wish to apologize for bringing such unfortunate news regarding our label artist.

It is true that in the early hours of March 21, Hwanhee caused a minor collision while driving under the influence, and this is a clear and inexcusable wrongdoing.

Hwanhee will fully cooperate with the investigation, and he will receive the appropriate punishment.

We express how sorry we are for causing concern with a wrongdoing that should not have happened.

We once again bow our heads and apologize.
