SuperM, TWICE, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, GOT7, + More Postpone Concerts Due To Coronavirus Pandemic
More artists have postponed upcoming tours and concerts due to concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic.
On April 27, SM Entertainment announced that SuperM would be postponing their upcoming “We Are The Future: Live in Japan” concert at the Tokyo Dome, which was originally scheduled to take place on April 23. The agency has stated that it will release further information about refunds and the possibility of a new concert date in the future.
TWICE also announced the second postponement of their upcoming “TWICELIGHTS” concert at the Tokyo Dome, which was originally scheduled to take place on March 3 and 4 before being postponed to April 15 and 16 last month. JYP Entertainment has not yet decided on a new date for the concert, and the agency has stated that they are still in the process of figuring out the details.
GOT7 similarly announced that they would be postponing their “Keep Spinning” concert in Bangkok for the second time. The group previously rescheduled the concert once from February 15 and 16 to May 9 and 10, but due to the continuing spread of COVID-19, JYP Entertainment has chosen to postpone the concert even further. The agency stated, “We are still in the process of discussing new dates [for the concert].”
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon has also postponed her upcoming tour of Japan, which was originally scheduled to take place from April 24 to June 14, with further information to be provided at a later time.
Finally, ONF has postponed their upcoming “Fancon 2020 in Japan,” which was originally scheduled to take place on April 19 and 24. More details regarding new dates will be released in the near future.
